Hand Crafted Wooden Rocking Horses

Each horse is individually carved giving it a unique vitality and personality. No two horses are exactly the same. Real horse hair is used on the traditional, wooden rocking horses and tails and manes come in a choice of colours. The saddle and bridle are both handmade from fine quality leather. A soft, padded seat ensures a secure and comfortable ride.

A baby / toddler rocking horse is available for the younger child in a variety of finishes. A perfect gift and heirloom for a new grandchild.

Bob Longland moved from England to High River, Alberta in 2006. Although an engineer by trade, Bob always enjoyed working with wood. For three decades, he has been self-employed as a cabinet maker, renovator, and designer of playground equipment and structures.

Bob is now concentrating on creating handcrafted, wooden, heirloom-quality, Victorian-style Rocking Horses. He is a member of the Guild of Rocking Horse Makers. These beautiful rocking horses are mounted on handmade, hardwood safety stands (invented in North America in 1880). The medium-sized horses can also be mounted on traditional, hardwood bow rockers. Bob has a policy of sourcing sustainable, North American hardwood.

Bob can offer customized service and make a horse for you that is truly unique. If you would like a rocking horse created that represents your horse, Bob can work with photographs of your horse to get a good colour and marking likeness.
